WHAT WE DO

THEP Consulting pairs hands-on mining and metallurgy experience with plain-spoken market and policy advice. You get a clear read on what is actually happening in your project or your market, and a practical view on what to do about it.

CORE COMPETENCIES

Where we can help

Corporate Affairs & Strategy

Communication and engagement strategies that hold up under scrutiny, built to strengthen your standing with stakeholders and decision-makers rather than just look good in a deck.

Government Advocacy

Working through regulation, policy discussions and legislative process so your priorities line up with where government is actually heading.

Market Insights & Intelligence

Timely, data driven reporting on commodity and resource markets. The kind of update that tells you something you didn't already know, rather than restating the news.

Technical Evaluation

Proper analysis of mining operations, market risk and investment opportunities, with particular depth in battery materials and energy transition minerals.

Strategic Storytelling

Turning dense technical material into a narrative a board, an investor or a journalist can actually follow and act on.

DIRECTOR

Tristan Hope, Director of THEP Consulting

Tristan Hope

Director, THEP Consulting

Tristan works with mining companies, investors and other stakeholders on problems that matter to the bottom line. Sometimes that means testing whether a project actually stacks up. Other times it's finding extra performance out of an existing plant, or helping decide where capital should go next.

Most of his career has been spent on site and in the plant rather than behind a desk, so the advice reflects how these operations run day to day. His background covers geometallurgy, process optimisation, commissioning and investment analysis, developed across major mining companies and consultancies. That includes due diligence on large projects and hands on improvements to mineral processing plants.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

A more complete picture

01

Sentiment from more than one angle

We track commodity trends, regulatory shifts and investor confidence from a range of points of view, so you're working from the full market picture rather than the convenient one.

02

Technical and political, together

Most consultancies pick a lane. We combine on-the-ground technical analysis with policy advocacy, so the advice holds up in the boardroom and in Canberra.

03

Built around your goals

No boilerplate decks. Market insight, strategy and advocacy are shaped around what you're actually trying to achieve in the resources sector.
